| This
was an amazing bar run be 2 charming English gentlemen. The main thing I liked about this pub was
everything was English - all the beers and ales were imports. They even had Newcastle Brown Ale on
tap! The kitchen served bacon sarnies, chicken and chips - anything you wanted really with Heinz Tomato Ketchup of HP sauce. There was plenty to do and there were competitions all through the night which included a good hour pub quiz - the winning team having a hour free at the bar! They also did a game called "The Sack" in which 2 people were picked out of the crowd and had to exchange clothes whilst in the giant sack. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this bar as it seems like home from home. The only downfall is that this bar needs British people in so that all the bar games can take place. We went in the next night and the place was filled with Germans. As we walked in the bar maid started playing the theme tune from Dad's Army which went down a treat with the Brits who sang along. The Germans left embarassed. Pretty nice pub. Definitely worth a look. Might not be everyone's cup of tea. Located in Santa Susanna - follow the signs to Malgrat. You can't miss it - look for the big dummy dressed as Robin Hood. |
